Hi Don,
I would love to talk to you about setting up watering system, I don't have one at this time and I believe as you say it would be a huge time saver. I am just not exactly sure how to get water to our shed at this time. Look forward to further posts.
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
You have a nice clean, neat setup. I am always interested how others raise their rabbits. What works well and what doesn't. I am not sure if you use automatic watering or not.
I set this up this spring for my rabbits and it has been a huge labor and time saver not to mention that the rabbits gain rapidly because they have access to cool clean water 24/7.
The challange with this is now before me as the winter approaches. I installed heat wires in the pipe
but the problem with that is this time of year the temperature control comes on at 38°F but off at 48° F
This is the ambiant temperature. (therein lies the problem) Not controlling actual water temperature.
The water gets too warm. I have another idea using a tank heater with a small circulating pump. Next week I plan on installing this system. If interested I could post the good and or the bad with that.
All for now ,The post is getting long. Good Luck with your nice looking stock.
Don

Doug,
Thanks so much for coming to see the set-up, I look forward to photos of the "Poop Away" system, if it is ok I will post them here on the website, I think it would be very informative for folks. I am also very interested in how you will build your watering system, using the airator to move the water, to keep it from freezing, along with the heater is a great idea. Great to meet you, I look forward to remaining in touch. Sarah Ouellette
Doug Varney says...Thanks for a very informative visit. I will start designing the "Poop-Away"
system tomorrow and send some pictures as it develops. As soon as the water valves arrive from Bass, I will build the watering system. It is great to find someone as excited about this process as I.
Thanks again for the tour
