This is not easy, raising litters in the winter. I have had 5 litters, 4 of them today. I have not perfected the timing. It has been so cold. It was so cute to see my husband warming babies today. I was at work and one of the does had the young on the wire, my husband bless his heart, not being the animal person I am, put them into the nestbox, and brought them in. We used some Angora fur from when my mother raised them and covered the babies, and it worked it brought them back to life. 4 of the litters remain outside, I brought the mother that had them on the wire inside, to see if she will care for them, I hope. I will keep you posted on how they do.
See photos:

This is my biggest and best meat doe, her mother had 9 her first litter and 12 her second, and so has she. So this shows the consistancy that I hope to gain with all my does.

These are some of my Hybred does, I call them hybred because I bred a Show buck with a meat doe.
She did well she had 6
Her sister (below) had 7

The other sister had a litter as well

I am trying new nestboxes, to see if I like the metal ones, so far so great!!
